Description
Topher Browne has a long Miramichi fishing heritage including his great uncle Kingsbury Browne owning the Six Mile Brook Camp on the Cains, and being one of the founding members of the Black Brook Salmon Club. Topher’s own list of salmon fishing accomplishments is considerable as the author of Atlantic Salmon Magic, and 100 Best Flies For Atlantic Salmon (Wild River Press, 2011) and on the pro staff for Gaelforce Rods of Scotland.
Topher co-produced the Spey casting DVD, “Spey to Z” and has tremendous experience on the rivers of North America as well as Europe. He is up on all traditional as well as modern casting techniques, and while Topher is well known for his casting and instruction with two hands on the rod, he is equally handy while casting and teaching with single-handed rods.
Topher’s donation to the MSA for this auction is a two-hour casting lesson to be given in the vicinity of Freeport, Maine at a mutually agreeable time. You can take this lesson one on one, or you can put together a group of friends. On top of the casting lesson you can pump Topher for info on salmon fishing gear and destinations – he is treasure chest of information. The lesson must be arranged in 2024.
